Managing Custom Scripts in VibeFunnel

Custom scripts in VibeFunnel allow you to enhance your landing pages by executing JavaScript snippets tailored to your needs, such as integrating with Google AdWords. This feature provides flexibility to add functionality across all your landing pages, but it requires careful management to ensure security and performance.

Accessing the Custom Scripts Section

Navigate to the Custom Scripts section within your VibeFunnel dashboard. The page description reads: "Manage JavaScript snippets that will be executed on your landing pages." Here, you can view, edit, or add scripts to customize your campaign experience.

Viewing Existing Scripts

The list displays current scripts, such as "Google AdWords," with details including:

  • Status: Indicates if the script is Enabled (green) or disabled.
  • Order: Shows the execution order (e.g., "Order: 0"), where lower numbers execute first (0-999).
  • Created: Displays the creation date and time (e.g., "Created Sep 12, 2025, 01:12 PM").
  • Actions: Icons allow you to view details (||), edit (pencil), or delete (trash can).

For example, the "Google AdWords" script, created on September 12, 2025, is currently enabled with an order of 0.

Adding a New Script

To add a script, click the green + Add Script button. This opens a form where you can define:

  • Script Name: A descriptive name (e.g., "Google AdWords"), limited to 14/100 characters.
  • JavaScript Code: Enter the code, ensuring it’s valid and secure. Also do not include the <script></script> tags
  • Status: Toggle between Enabled or Disabled.
  • Execution Order: Set a number (0-999) to control the script’s loading sequence.

After filling in the details, click Update Script (or Add Script if new) to save. Use Cancel to discard changes.

Editing a Script

Click the pencil icon next to an existing script (e.g., "Google AdWords") to edit. Update the script name, code, status, or order as needed. The edit view shows the current code, such as the gtag.js integration, where you’ll replace "YOUR_ID" with your actual measurement ID. Review the Security Notice:

  • Custom scripts aren’t loaded in the builder or preview mode.
  • They execute on all landing pages.
  • Only add scripts from trusted sources to avoid security risks.

Important Notes

  • Purpose: Custom scripts enhance landing page functionality, like tracking with Google AdWords, but are applied globally to all pages.
  • Security: Always verify script sources and test thoroughly, as they execute live on your pages.
  • Order Impact: Adjust the execution order to ensure dependencies are met (e.g., lower numbers load first).
  • No Preview: Scripts won’t run in the builder or preview, so test on a live page.

By managing custom scripts effectively, you can tailor your VibeFunnel landing pages to meet specific tracking or functionality needs while maintaining a secure environment.
